Gordon YEN
Founding Managing Partner
Gordon is the Founding Managing Partner and licensed Responsible Officer (CE No. AFB837) of Radiant under the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO) for Type 9 (asset management) regulated activity with over 25 years of operational and board level experience in private and listed companies involving cross-border investments, global supply chain and infrastructure businesses. He has been involved in innovation and technology venture investments since the late 1990s through investments as angel investor as well as managing corporate and venture capital investments in transactions involving startups from Israel, Greater China and North America. He is also the Non-executive Vice Chairman and Non-executive Director of Fountain Set (Holdings) Limited (SEHK: 0420), an Independent Non-executive Director and Chairman of Sustainability Committee of Impro Precision Industries Limited (HKEX:1286), an Independent Non-executive Director of Asia Allied Infrastructure Holdings Limited (HKEX:711), a Board Member and Co-Chair person of the Technical Committee of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA), an adjunct professor at the academy of innovation of the City University of Hong Kong and a member of the financial services advisory committee of HKTDC. Gordon has previously served as member of the Election Committee of Hong Kong, a member of the CPPCC of the Henan Province as well as the Chairman of the Hong Kong Venture Investment and Business Angel Network (HKBAN). He graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a BSc degree in Manufacturing Engineering and obtained an MBA from McGill University and a DBA from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
CHOW Ching Ning (Michael)
Managing Partner
Michael is a Managing Partner and licensed Responsible Officer (CE No. AGN609) of Radiant under the SFO for Type 9 (asset management) regulated activity. He has over 20 years of investment experience in technology startups that operates in Asia in sectors such as semiconductors, telecom networks & devices, software service providers, advanced manufacturing as well as ecommerce. He was the Ex-MD and Co-Head of China and Investment Committee member for JAFCO Asia investments, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JAFCO, which is one of Japan’s leading and largest private equity firm with a global AUM of over US$8.5 billion. He was involved in investments in companies including 3721 (acquired by Yahoo), ChinaCache International (NASDAQ: CCIH), GolferPass, Byecity Travel (OTC New Third Board: 836925), Amsky Printing, 51wan, Tudou (Acquired by Yukou), A8 Music (HKEX: 800), Coolpad (HKEX: 2369), HiSoft (subsequently renamed as Pactera Technology), Sinosun (ChiNext: 300333), and others. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Principal with Capital Z Asia Limited, a private equity firm headquartered in New York with global assets under management of US$3.8 billion. He is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of China LNG Group (HKEX: 931) and Shanshan Brand Management (HKEX: 1749) and has previously served as Non-executive Directors of 3721, ChinaCache International, Coolpad, Byecity Travel, Amsky Printing, GolferPass and 51wan. He is also a Vice-Chair person of the Greater China Committee of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA). Michael earned a BA degree in Business Studies, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and is a CFA Charterholder and a CPA (Fellow member) of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
CHOW Hin Poon (Hugh)
Venture Partner
Hugh is a Venture Partner and a licensed Representative (CE No. BSF108) of Radiant, under the SFO for Type 9 (asset management) regulated activity. With over 30 years of global executive experience from serial entrepreneurship and senior executive roles in both private and public sectors both in North America and in Asia. He was the CEO of Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). Prior to that, he was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Pool Global Partners, a VC investment firm co-invested with Business Development Bank of Canada. Hugh also co-founded ViXS Systems Inc., a multimedia and communication fabless semiconductor company that was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2013 and won a record 8-year of Deloitte Fast 50 consecutively. Prior to that, Mr Chow held senior engineering and management positions at ATI Technologies Inc.. During his tenure, ATI went dual-listed on TSX and NASDAQ and eventually became a US$5.6 billion leader in GPU. He is currently the CEO of ventureLAB in Toronto, a leading global founder community for hardware technology and enterprise software companies in Canada. Hugh obtained a BSc degree from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong and obtained a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado. He is also an inventor for more than 12 international patents and a recipient of the Hong Kong Canada Business Achievement Award in 2014 and the ACCE International Business Entrepreneur Award in 2007.
James KL Wong
Venture Partner
James is a Venture Partner of Radiant. He brings over 20 years of professional services experience from KPMG, at which he most recently served as a Partner, where he had advised and assisted clients to grow their businesses through digital transformation, business acceleration, market entry & development, IPO & fund raising, M&A and post-merger integration. Besides have extensive network with the business community in Hong Kong and the GBA, James also has over 10 years of operational experience in the areas of logistics and supply chain management from companies including SAS Institute and Hactl. James has earned and MSc degree in Business Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and MBA from the University of Hong Kong as well as diplomas in Management from the University of Hong Kong and the University of Hull. He is also a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute as well as a China Committee Member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
GAO Lingli (Lily)
Investment Associate
Lily is an Investment Associate and a licensed representative (CE No. BTT919) of Radiant, under the SFO for Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities. She was previously an Operational Associate of Radiant Tech Ventures Limited where she was actively engaged in portfolio reporting as well as post-investment operations of the firm. Lily has also served as a senior project executive for the Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council where she accumulated extensive connections in the technology ecosystem through her involvement in organizing tech events including Hong Kong International Entrepreneurs Festival as well as various visits by industry delegations to the US, UK and Japan. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotech and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Henan Normal University, China and obtained a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
BI Zhanning (Meredith)
Analyst
Meredith is an analyst of Radiant. She was previously a Management Trainee at one of the largest rural commercial banks in China, where she conducted client due diligence, transaction analysis, and supported credit assessments, contributing to regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Prior to that, she also worked as an assurance support at for a global audit firm as well as a TMT research assistant for the mainland Chinese market, where she gained experience in industry research and financial analyses. Meredith holds a Bachelor of Economics degree in Investment from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, China and obtained a Master of Science degree in Real Estate from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
